Daily practice of correct breathing through various methods allows us to find peace and vitality, which translates into clearer and fresher senses and emotions during conscious singing and free voice projection. Both during singing, presentations, and normal speech throughout the day, breathing must be natural, effortless, and free of unnecessary muscle tension. In my classes, I work based on the following breathing methods:The Wim Hof method, whose task is sudden oxygenation. Essentially, this leads to an increase in the throughput in the Nadi energy channels (based on Ayurveda), and as a result, our activity increases. Then, the endocrine system is regulated, which leads to the secretion of increased doses of serotonin and dopamine (happiness hormones), and metabolism accelerates. This activating method is mainly recommended for people with low blood pressure. Vedic teachings also mention that this method is suitable for people with a deficiency of the fire element-Pitta (low levels of energy, concentration, and motivation) and people with an excess of water-Kapha (manifestation of stagnation, excess emotions, slow metabolism). The Buteyko method, on the other hand, has a more regulatory character, making it better in cases where there is particularly high tension in the body (disharmony between the elements, excess of one, especially fire or air). It is effective for problems with the respiratory system, circulatory system, and general disturbance of the oxygen to carbon dioxide ratio in tissues. This method does not oxygenate the body initially as much as the Wim Hof method. Buteyko requires less effort. Pranayama easily makes us understand that with old patterns from the past, our memories and attachments easily dominate the mind.Pranayama, used to deeply rid oneself of negative emotional states, anxiousness, and to enter into deeper layers of consciousness.
